Media Release Appointment of Assistant Governor (Business Services)

The Reserve Bank today announced the appointment of Mr Geoffrey Board to the position of Assistant Governor (Business Services), which became vacant recently on the resignation of Mr Geoffrey Hodgkinson to return to the private sector.

Mr Board, who has been Assistant Governor (Financial Markets) at the Reserve Bank for the past four years, will transfer to his new position in mid-July. His present position will be advertised in the press later this week.

The Governor of the Reserve Bank, Mr Bernie Fraser, said Mr Board's appointment would help to consolidate and further extend the substantial improvements made in the Bank's business services (banking, registry, cash and payments) over recent years.
