Accessibility Action Plan
The Reserve Bank of Australia is committed to be an inclusive organisation that values fairness, equity, diversity and inclusion. To ensure that we are a disability confident workplace, we are taking steps to improve our infrastructure and disability awareness at all levels. Our goal is not to consider accessibility as a separate factor instead make it embedded in all aspects of our service.
The Bank's Accessibility Employee Resource Group with our partner Australian Network on Disability seeks to identify barriers to full participation at the Bank. We have created a two-year Accessibility Action Plan that sets out important steps we need to take to implement sustainable change at the Bank. The plan outlines an evolving program of work as short-term actions and medium-term actions that will drive improvement in each key area identified.
This is an ongoing process. While completion of these actions will improve the Bank's disability confidence, the aim over the longer term is to imbed considerations of access and inclusion in the Bank's overall strategy.
