This report presents the Bank's third annual Assessment of the Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System – Australia's real-time gross settlement system – against the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures (the Principles). The Principles are international standards developed by the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures and the Technical Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions. The Assessment concludes that RITS observed all of the relevant Principles. In the spirit of continuous improvement, however, a number of recommendations have been made.
