What is the application and selection process?
Application
At this stage we aim to understand your experience, interests and education.
You can provide this information by uploading your resume, current academic
transcript(s) and a cover letter that highlights your suitability and
interest in the program by the closing date.
Online assessments and video interview
We use online assessments to understand you better. You’ll be invited to
complete an online test that assesses your verbal (video interview),
numerical and inductive reasoning abilities.
Formal Interview
We'll contact you to schedule a formal 90-minute virtual interview. Before
the interview, you’ll be asked to complete a topical case study assessment.
Offer
If you’re successful, you’ll receive an offer of employment. We anticipate
offers to be made by the end of August 2024. Interstate interns will be
supported to relocate.
I am facing technical issues with my online assessment, who can I contact?
Before taking the assessments, make sure your computer meets the system requirements.
If you’re still experiencing technical issues with your online assessment, please
contact the SHL (shell) aptitude test provider for technical support.

When will the internship program take place?
The internship program spans eight weeks, running from early December 2024 to early February 2025.
I have submitted my application, what happens next?
Our talent acquisition consultants will review applications and aim to have finalised
offers for our internship program by the end of August.
What departments in the RBA are interns placed within?
Are hybrid working options available for the internship program?
Currently, we don’t offer hybrid work options for the internship program. Throughout
the duration of the program, you’ll need to be on-site at our head office.
Will late applications be accepted?
To ensure your application is considered, complete it before the program’s closing
date. Late applications cannot be accepted, so it is best to complete your
application early.
I've been made an offer, will you help with relocation?
Yes, if successful and you reside interstate, we’ll provide relocation assistance to
support your move to Sydney during the internship program only.
Can I complete the internship program from a state office?
No. Both our internship program is based in our Sydney head office.
