This includes any deposits of governments and central banks of other countries and of international financial institutions. Some deposits are denominated in special drawing rights or US dollars and are converted to Australian dollars at the derived SDR/$A or market rates of exchange applying on 30 June 1979, respectively.

This includes deposits with the Bank of $4.5 million ($6.2 million in June 1978) under the variable deposit requirement on foreign borrowings.
