Note 9 Other Assets

This includes the Bank's shareholding in the Bank for International Settlements, which is valued at market price; unrealised revaluation adjustments are taken to an asset revaluation reserve. (See Note 3.) It also includes an amount of $18.8 million representing gold coins held by the Bank, valued on the basis of gold content, at 30 June gold market price. At 30 June 1992 gold coins to the value of $15.2 million were included in Gold and Foreign Exchange. (See also Note 1(b).)
