As in previous years, a range of prominent international and Australian academic and policy economists participated in the 1995 conference. Two papers for the conference were written by members of the Bank's Economic Group. Three papers were written by international economists (Robert Gordon from Northwestern University, Michael Sarel from the International Monetary Fund and Kengo Inoue from the Bank of Japan), and two were written by well-known Australian economists, Steve Dowrick from the Australian National University, and Ian Castles from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
